Geovany Huerta Arrested By BHPD For Assault

BEVERLY HILLS—On Monday November 6, the Beverly Hills Police Department announced they arrested a suspect in connection to an assault with a deadly weapon.

The BHPD reported at approximately 2:38 p.m. they received emergency calls of a possible physical altercation on the 100 block of South Roxbury Drive. Officers responded quickly and located a 34-year-old male who had been stabbed.

The suspect fled the scene prior to police arriving on the scene.

After a thorough search, officers and with assistance from the BHPD Real Time Watch Center, an individual matching the suspect description was identified and detained in the area of Charleville Boulevard and Lasky Drive at 3:06 p.m.

Authorities do not believe there is a relationship between the suspect and the victim. The victim is being treated at a local hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. Geovany Huerta, 20, of Los Angeles was charged with 664-187 PC Attempt Murder.

He is being held on $1 million bail and is currently in custody at the Los Angeles County Jail. He has a court date of Wednesday, November 8, at the Los Angeles Airport Court.

The BHPD is still investigating the case. Detectives determined that the stabbing incident stemmed from an interrupted theft of property.
